JC Brand Esp Market SL in Madrid seeks an experienced Category Leader to define and execute buying strategies across the headwear and private label segment. You will lead cross-functional teams including Design, Buying, and Technical Engineering to ensure category success.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in buying or commercial leadership, fluency in Spanish and English, and strong ERP experience. This role offers on-site work in Madrid within a dynamic fashion group.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; German is a plus; proficient in MS Office and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and Execute Category Strategy: Define and implement seasonal and long-term buying strategies for the category, aligning objectives with trends and growth targets.
• Build High-Performing Assortments: Create compelling assortment strategies balancing demand, brand positioning, and profitability.
• Drive Cross-Functional Category Leadership: Coordinate across Design, Buying, Technical Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
• Lead Supplier and Vendor Management: Manage supplier relationships and negotiate costs, margins, quality standards, and terms.
• Drive Commercial Performance: Monitor sales and inventory to optimize stock and maximize category performance.
• Team Leadership: Lead Buyers, Designers and Tech engineers, reporting to Brand Director of Menswear.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Develop and Execute Category Strategy: Define and implement seasonal and long-term buying strategies for the category, aligning commercial objectives with customer needs, market trends, and business growth targets.
• Build High-Performing Assortments: Create compelling assortment strategies that balance consumer demand, emerging trends, brand positioning, and financial performance to maximize sales and profitability.
• Drive Cross-Functional Category Leadership: You act as the central connector across Design, Buying, Technical Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment on category objectives and priorities. You foster strong collaboration throughout the product lifecycle, balancing customer needs, brand vision, operational requirements, and financial targets. Through effective stakeholder management and clear decision-making, you drive the successful execution of category strategies and business initiatives.
• Lead Supplier and Vendor Management: Manage strategic supplier relationships and negotiate favorable costs, margins, quality standards, and delivery terms to drive business value and operational excellence.
• Drive Commercial Performance: Monitor sales, inventory, and market trends to make data-driven buying decisions, optimize stock levels, improve product lifecycle management, and maximize category performance.
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of Buyers, Designers and Tech engineers through guidance, knowledge sharing, and professional development, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture. You will report directly into Brand Director of Menswear.

What We Are Looking For

• Your Educational Background: You hold a bachelor's degree in business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• Your Strengths: You are strategic, business-minded, and passionate about fashion. You love understanding consumer needs, spotting opportunities, making data-driven decisions, and naturally balancing brand vision, consumer trends, operational realities, and financial objectives with a customer-centric mindset.
• Your profile: You bring 10-15 years of experience in buying, category management, or commercial leadership, with a proven track record of delivering profitable growth within the Light Woven category. You possess strong commercial acumen in category strategy, assortment planning, product development, and trend forecasting. As an analytical leader, You excel at developing multidisciplinary teams across Buying, Design, and technical functions, managing supplier relationships through complex negotiations, and analyzing key financial metrics and inventory drivers. You are fluent in Spanish and English (German is a plus), proficient in MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint), and ideally experienced with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
