The Head of Security - EMEA is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of all Westinghouse Global Security programs across all Westinghouse EMEA sites. Will serve as a single point of contact for local senior leadership, customer representatives, and the liaison between the EMEA business units and Westinghouse Global Security & Real Estate. As a member of the Global Security & Real Estate organization, this position is responsible for promoting relative company programs in all operations; mentoring and developing personnel; promoting teamwork within the organization and across the company and demonstrating the behaviors that promote a positive work environment. Maintains a safety conscious work environment. Promotes a nuclear safety culture by modeling and reinforcing the desired behaviors through local governance and oversight on behalf of the Global Security & Real Estate group.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Ensures that all programmatic standards are defined and maintained to achieve compliance with regulatory directives, company, and local policies.
  • Development and administration of new and current Westinghouse Global Security policies, procedures, and programs across all Westinghouse EMEA sites in accordance with government and regulatory standards.
  • Travel regularly and conduct site visits to complete audits and inspections to identify and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps.
  • Support and ensure effective day-to-day administration of physical security and access control standards and systems.
  • Coordinating with team members on the design and implementation of physical security installations at company offices and facilities.
  • Conducts self-assessments and observations to determine the ongoing effectiveness of program processes and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Interfaces frequently with project, client and functional management and provides required and timely notifications.
  • Developing and maintaining network and relationships with relevant high-level law enforcement and international counterparts to include in-country security and international security agencies, intelligence and private sector counterparts worldwide.
  • Promoting and engaging in cross-functional interfaces, support, and program development between security and functions such as travel, Cyber Security, IT, Trade Compliance, Data Privacy and HR etc.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in security or equivalent degree in a related discipline, or combination of equivalent experience and education.
  • 7+ years of security or related experience that includes leadership experience in relevant areas.
  • Proficient in US English – communication, writing, reading, talking.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
  • Must be able to be an effective problem solver while maintaining internal and regulatory compliance.
  • Must be able to make decisions independently based on procedure and regulatory guidelines.
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
