International company in constant expansion is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Commercial Officer to lead the retail D2C eCommerce business focused on pharmacy and parapharmacy products. The role is pivotal in driving sales growth and margins, defining pricing strategies, structuring vendor relationships, and ensuring sharp stock management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Retail eCommerce commercial functions, a deep understanding of the eCommerce business, and strong leadership skills to structure and drive a team.

Key Responsibilities :

Trading :

  • Responsible for driving topline growth throughout the year in line with targets by establishing category and vendor strategies and collaborating with the marketing team on promotional calendars.
  • Ensure profitability through vendor terms negotiation, retail media offers, and all eCommerce levers (pricing, etc.).

Leadership and Team Management :

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of 25 professionals across sales, vendor management, purchasing, and inventory management.
  • Set performance objectives and conduct evaluations to ensure goals are met.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Sales Strategy Development :

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share in the eCommerce pharmacy sector.
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify opportunities for new products, brands, and services.

Pricing and Inventory Management :

  • Master eCommerce pricing strategies to maximize profitability and competitiveness.
  • Oversee inventory purchasing and management to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to improve product availability, efficiency, and reduce costs.

Vendor Negotiation and Relationship Management :

  • Negotiate favorable terms and marketing services with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing and reliable supply.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to enhance partnerships and value-added services.

Customer Experience Optimization :

  • Work with marketing and customer service teams to enhance the online shopping experience and increase customer loyalty.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms for continuous service and product improvement.

Performance Analysis and Reporting :

  • Use data analytics to monitor sales, identify trends, and inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting achievements and strategic insights.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial leadership within eCommerce, preferably in pharmacy or parapharmacy sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce pricing, vendor management, and inventory practices.
  • Exceptional analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
  • Successful negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

Location : Based in Spain, with a requirement to work at least 2–3 days per week at the headquarters in Albacete.
