Role Overview

As the Head of Project Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and strategy of our project management function at Gunnebo Entrance Control. You will be responsible for leading a team of project managers, overseeing complex projects from initiation to completion, and ensuring that all deliverables meet our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Your strategic leadership will be crucial in developing and implementing best practices in project management, ensuring that we effectively manage resources, risks, and timelines across all projects.

You will also be responsible for aligning project management initiatives with the overall business strategy, collaborating closely with executives and other departments to drive organizational success. Your expertise will guide our teams in establishing a culture of continuous improvement, fostering collaboration, and enhancing communication across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project management strategies that align with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing project management team.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Manage the project portfolio, balancing resources, budgets, and timelines effectively.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Report project progress and performance to senior management and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the project management team.
  • Develop a process to update the dashboard
  • Ensure good project governance
  • Keep relevant stakeholders up to date.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Conduct regular training and development sessions for project management staff.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and navigate complex organizational structures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and financial management in project contexts.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Relevant project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) is preferred.
