Wave Group is seeking a senior technical leader to own the platform side of engineering, focusing on infrastructure, data systems, and core backend foundations. This role is hands-on and leadership-driven, not a pure coordination position, and requires steering a growing engineering org.

The candidate will manage 15–20 engineers across squads, maintain architectural integrity, and drive performance and scalability while staying close to code and design decisions.

Formación

• Proven experience leading 15–20 engineers in a rapidly scaling startup.
• Deep software engineering background with Python mastery.
• Strong distributed systems and AWS expertise under heavy load.
• Founder or early-stage startup experience building an engineering org.
• Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure and LLMs.

Responsabilidades

• Lead platform/data/backend engineering teams from 3 to ~6 squad leads.
• Stay close to architecture, code, and design decisions; review code.
• Ensure data and infrastructure scale with agent workloads.
• Drive performance, reliability and developer velocity.
• Hire exceptional backend/data/platform engineers.
• Develop the next generation of tech leads.
