From Luxe Talent , an International Recruitment and Training Consultancy specialized in Fashion, Luxury, Retail, and FMCG, we are currently looking for a Head of Merchandising Operations to join the team of one of our clients at their new offices in Madrid.

At our recruitment and training consultancy, we work with various brands in the Luxury, Premium, and High Premium sectors across Europe, and we have offices in Barcelona, London, Madrid, Paris, Braga, Amsterdam, Milan, and Berlin.

Job Description

  • Develop and manage forecasting, financial planning, and scenario building for sales, inventory, COGS, and margins across multiple locations.
  • Set up and maintain rolling 12-month forecasts for Stock, COGS, Intake (€ and pieces) across all seasons.
  • Align financial and capacity planning processes with brand growth strategies.
  • Analyze the assortment portfolio to unlock opportunities and optimize seasonal plans.
  • Monitor sell-through rates, stock levels, and turnover performance to optimize stock health and maximize full-price sales.
  • Support Buying teams with commercial insights, markdown strategies, and product flow recommendations.
  • Drive NOS (Never Out of Stock) steering and replenishment strategies.
  • Utilize raw data to generate clear, actionable insights (e.g., by category, silhouette, brand, or article performance).
  • Identify risks early and implement contingency plans to minimize impact.
  • Implement best practices in stock health management : slow movers identification, bestsellers maximization, smart replenishment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Buying, BCO, Marketing, Sales, Visual Merchandising, and external suppliers.
  • Manage, lead, mentor, and develop the Senior Merchandising Planner, Junior Merchandising Planner & Controller, and Visual Merchandiser teams across the various markets.
