Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) seeks a Language Modeling Team Leader (R3) to guide the Language Modeling group within the AI Institute, coordinating researchers and engineers in a high‑performance computing environment.

You will lead flagship projects such as ALIA and OpenEuroLLM, direct training pipelines for multilingual models, secure funding, and represent BSC at international venues. The role offers a full-time contract and relocation support.

Formación

• PhD in NLP, CS or related field with AI focus.
• Extensive experience leading large research teams and roadmaps.
• Proven track record training foundational models in HPC contexts.
• Fluency in English; Spanish co-official languages a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership and technical direction for the group.
• Act as Principal Investigator for national/international projects.
• Manage extreme-scale HPC resource allocations across infrastructures.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams and data annotation groups.
• Design high-impact multilingual model training pipelines.
• Represent the institute at international forums and meetings.
