The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) invites applications for a Research Engineer position focused on Speech Large Language Models. The role operates within the AI Institute's Speech Team, in a high-end HPC environment, advancing ASR, TTS, and LLM development for Catalan and Spanish resources.

We seek a candidate with a Master’s in a relevant field and at least 2 years in ML/DL, Linux, Python, and HF.

Formación

• A master's degree in Electronic engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related, with specialization in speech processing and recognition, and background in computation
• Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in machine learning
• Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in deep learning frameworks and in the relevant area(s)
• Technical skills: Linux, Python, Deep learning libraries, git, HF
• Ability to access and evaluate scientific literature
• Demonstrated experience in developing open-source software and resources

Responsabilidades

• Participation in current projects related to speech technologies, including but not limited to research, documentation and deliverables
• Design and develop innovative modules for speech large language models
• Design and develop speech synthesis modules
• Preparation and presentation of scientific articles
• Supervision junior research engineers
• Participation in internal group meetings and other scientific discussions
