Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) in Barcelona seeks a Senior AI for Earth Sciences Team Co-Lead to drive AI research for climate and earth system studies. You will co-lead a team of about 15 researchers and engineers, shaping project pipelines and collaboration across EU initiatives and real-world forecasting.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and expertise in deep learning, HPC, and MLOps.

Formación

• Master's level degree in ML, data science, CS, earth/climate sciences or related field.
• PhD in related field not essential but appreciated.

Responsabilidades

• Co-lead the AI team’s day-to-day management of tasks and deliverables with the Team Lead.
• Lead planning, execution and completion of AI research projects; assign tasks and priorities.
• Develop strategies to sustain AI models, tools, and funding lines.
• Contribute to department AI tools strategy and international visibility of research.
