Descripción del empleo

• Provide strategic leadership to our engineering department, aligning technical goals with overall business objectives.
• Lead and manage teams of skilled engineers and engineering managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Oversee the development and execution of complex technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results, as well as alignment with KPIs, goals, priorities, and work culture within the engineering organization.
• Take ownership of the engineering process to ensure teams deliver at a high-performance level while fostering continuous improvement and innovation across engineering practices.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to your team members and beyond.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, and operations) to deliver exceptional products and services and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders, including executives, clients, and partners.

Your Qualifications

• Proven hands-on management experience (at least 5 years) in a leadership role within a technology-driven organization - previous experience in developing warehouse management systems or logistics solutions is a plus.
• Ability to set and drive technical vision and strategy paired with continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience managing budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines.
• Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and system design, including familiarity with web technologies and other technologies (e.g., .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET, SQL, Angular, GitLab, NHibernate, Entity Framework).
• Profound knowledge of web technologies, architecture, and agile methodologies.
• Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Ability to lead by example, foster, hire and nurture talent, as well as the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• As a person, you are a passionate team player with an empathetic leadership style and have excellent communication skills in both English and German.
