Are you willing to make a difference? Passionate about energy? Our customer is an independent power producer (IPP) that designs, builds, and operates renewable energy projects. Their main objective is to generate a positive social and environmental impact in local communities through solar photovoltaic and wind power plants, incorporating storage and hybridization technologies in various European markets, including Italy and Spain. As part of their growth, they are looking to appoint a Head of IT & Digital. In this role, you will contribute from an IT perspective to lead the construction and development of their digital ecosystem. This role focuses on structuring and building an integrated digital framework that enhances operational efficiency, optimizes asset monetization, and ensures seamless integration with Ready-to-Build (RTB) projects and ongoing operations.

FUNCTIONS

Reporting to the CFO and based in Spain or Italy, your responsibilities will include:

1. IT Strategy and Governance: Develop and implement IT and digital strategies, ensuring seamless integration with RTB and operational processes; align initiatives with business goals, industry standards, and regulatory requirements including cybersecurity and data protection.
2. Infrastructure and Digital Ecosystem Management: Build and develop the digital ecosystem, integrating SCADA, Asset Management, Revenue, and Trading systems; oversee IT infrastructure, including cloud platforms, networks, and monitoring tools for renewable assets.
3. Cybersecurity and Risk Management: Supervise cybersecurity measures, ensure compliance with NIS2 regulations, conduct risk assessments, and develop incident response plans.
4. Data Strategy and Analytics: Define data management strategies, implement analytics solutions for performance monitoring, and support real-time monitoring leveraging AI and machine learning for predictive maintenance.
5. Digitalization and Monetization Support: Drive scalable digital solutions to enhance asset monetization, automate processes, and optimize revenue generation.
6. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small, efficient IT & Digital team, fostering innovation and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
7. Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with external partners and vendors, ensuring solutions meet company and regulatory standards.
8. Project Management: Oversee IT and digital transformation projects, managing budgets and timelines, aligning projects with business objectives.
