Overview
Head of IT – Back-office at Impala Terminals: Lead and develop the IT Back-office strategy in alignment with company goals, integrating tech across shared services for efficiency (Finance, Procurement, HR).
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed guidelines and overall direction for the Back-office IT team to implement, including prioritization, critical path timelines, risk / contingency options, and managing financial risk. Ensure all team members are delivering on time, within budget, enforce to defined quality standards and meet agreed user specifications and expectations.
- Establish the appropriate methodology to follow by Project teams, Support teams, and Analysts.
- Coordinate project activities / timelines for sophisticated projects; detail and store critical project information for future use. Provide regular reporting to CIO on projects’ progress.
- Establish SLAs with service for support teams which are aligned with heads of functional teams across all types of Terminals.
- Supervise support team efficiency and adherence to the established SLAs.
- Direct information processing activities of the project and coordinate the effective design, implementation and operation of information systems and applications.
- Provide feedback and mentorship to members to allow further personal development and opportunities for each member to progress.
- Prepare documents, meeting materials and correspondence.
- Constantly reviewing the organizational structure to make sure it is appropriately fit for purpose.
- Work alongside the team to drive towards successful completion of Project or support items, especially when sophisticated to support the team.
- Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all Partners and sites.
