A leading multinational technology company, providing software services to sectors such as telecommunications and energy, is seeking to hire a Head of Sales to develop the Energy Market. The position can be based anywhere in Europe

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the global strategy for the energy sector.
  • Build and execute the go-to-market plan, including customer segmentation, strategic partnerships, and sales initiatives.
  • Manage full sales cycles from lead qualification through to final delivery.
  • Conduct field-based product demonstrations to highlight the unique value proposition.
  • Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable business and product insights.
  • Lead the development of proposals in close coordination with internal teams.
  • Collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure solutions meet client expectations.
  • Support deal structuring and long-term value creation for enterprise clients.
  • Work with marketing to craft sector-specific positioning, messaging, and campaign strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and thought leadership forums.
  • Provide regular executive-level reporting on performance, pipeline, and market intelligence.
  • This role reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in business development, partnerships, or vertical ownership within the energy sector.
  • Deep understanding of the renewable energy industry — prior experience with utilities, energy developers, or infrastructure players is highly valued.
  • Strategic thinker with strong operational execution skills and a track record of scaling repeatable business models.
  • Proven success selling technology or software solutions into the renewable energy market.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large enterprise accounts and long-term client relationships.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
  • Based near a major travel hub with flexibility to travel as required.
