IENAI SPACE in Madrid is seeking a Head of Embedded Systems and Software to own the architectural vision for the ATHENA propulsion system. You will guide firmware and software from bare-metal to real-time applications, ensuring reliability and readiness for flight.

You will lead a small team of embedded engineers, drive design reviews, and establish robust verification strategies including HIL testing and CI/CD.

Formación

• At least 7 years of experience in embedded software development and leadership.
• Proficiency in C/C for resource-constrained systems.
• Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS) and embedded tooling.
• Strong Python scripting and test automation.
• Ability to read PCB schematics and work with hardware teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• End-to-End embedded lifecycle ownership for ATHENA propulsion software.
• Lead, mentor and grow a small embedded software team.
• Define software verification strategies including HIL testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect modular, scalable firmware and software, migrating from 8-bit bare-metal to 32-bit RTOS.
• Collaborate with hardware team for seamless integration and system-level validation.
• Participate in design reviews and documentation to maintain quality.
