WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a data leader who's not just experienced but passionate about building and scaling high-performing teams. As Head of Data you'll manage and grow a team of talented individuals across Data Engineering and AI, reporting directly to the Director of Data and Analytics. The ideal candidate has significant experience leading data teams, and collaborating closely with other functions. You bring a deep understanding of modern data technologies, practices, and processes and know how to mentor technical leaders, foster specialization, and scale data functions to meet evolving needs. Experience in taking AI or ML models from concept to production is a big plus. If you bring all of the above and know how to navigate ambiguity, manage resources effectively, and make data a driving force behind strategic decisions, let's talk!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a technical team. Cultivate a collaborative environment that empowers the team to innovate and deliver impactful data solutions.
  • Drive development of impactful AI products - including AI agents - in collaboration with the Product and Engineering leadership.
  • Provide direction for the development of our data platform, including the development of AI and ML capabilities. Including the decision on appropriate frameworks and tools, ensuring scalable, robust, and future-proof solutions.
  • Lead the evolution of the data organization by implementing structures, defining clear roles, and fostering specialization. Encourage a mindset of continuous improvement, accountability, and adaptability across your team.
  • Act as a strategic partner to leadership across Product, Engineering, and other departments. Clearly communicate initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU'LL NEED:

  • 8+ years in data-related fields (Data Engineering, AI / ML, Data Management, Analytics), with at least 3+ years in a people leadership role overseeing technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering, AI / ML systems, and data platform technologies. You're comfortable guiding technical experts without necessarily diving into the details.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, guide technical leaders, facilitate alignment across complex teams, and articulate clear visions and strategies at both technical and organizational levels.
  • Collaborative mindset and strong track record in building partnerships across Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to drive large data initiatives.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly growing SaaS environment, comfortably managing ambiguity and making decisions amid uncertainty.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python. Experience in additional data-related frameworks (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, PyTorch, etc.).
  • Experience working in SaaS and/or high growth companies.
