Job summary

Gomining seeks an experienced Head of Custody & Compliance to lead custody infrastructure, AML/KYC, and digital asset operations. You will own the strategic direction, ensure security, regulatory alignment, and scalable processes across the organization.

You will work closely with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Executive teams to build secure financial infrastructure, optimize workflows, and manage cross-functional initiatives with a focus on risk reduction and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong background in crypto custody, compliance, AML/KYC, or digital asset operations.
• Experience with exchanges, custody providers, wallets, or crypto-focused institutions.
• Deep understanding of AML/KYC, transaction monitoring, Travel Rule, and crypto compliance.
• Practical experience with custody infrastructure and asset transaction flows.
• Experience working with custody, compliance, or blockchain infrastructure providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop custody infrastructure and digital asset operations.
• Oversee deposits, withdrawals, and transaction processing.
• Manage relationships with custody providers (Fireblocks, Copper, BitGo).
• Implement AML/KYC, Travel Rule, and transaction monitoring processes.
• Build compliant workflows with case management, escalation procedures, and controls.
• Improve fraud detection and prevention, and monitor suspicious activity.
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and engineering to align regulatory requirements.
• Define and monitor operational performance metrics.
