Our recruitment agency is helping a leading iGaming Affiliate company find an experienced German-speaking Head of Content for the DACH markets.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the German-speaking sports betting landscape and a proven track record of success in the industry. In this role, you will shape and drive the content strategy for our high-performing German sports betting affiliate portal, using data-driven insights to stay ahead of the curve in a competitive market. They will also lead and mentor a team of 5–7 talented content professionals, ensuring strategic alignment, accountability, and continued growth within the team.

Responsibilities :

1. Develop and execute a predictive, data-informed content strategy tailored to the DACH market.
2. Lead, coach, and manage a team of 5–7 writers and editors to consistently produce high-performing content.
3. Monitor regional sports betting trends and user behavior to inform editorial direction.
4. Provide weekly insights and actionable plans based on high-potential events, seasonal trends, and local market dynamics.
5. Conduct competitive analysis to identify and close content gaps, improving both rankings and conversions.
6. Collaborate cross-functionally with SEO, Product, and Quality teams to align content initiatives with broader business goals.
7. Elevate content quality through strategic planning, structured execution, and ongoing optimization.
8. Define and enforce content governance best practices, including lifecycle management, internal linking, page structure, update schedules, change tracking, and seasonal workflows.

Requirements :

• Native German speaker with expert knowledge of the German-speaking sports betting markets.
• Demonstrated success in a senior content role within a sports betting affiliate or sportsbook environment.
• Proven experience leading content teams of 5 or more, with a focus on performance and quality.
• Deep understanding of localization and the regional bettor mindset.
• Proficient in market and keyword research tools (e.g., SISTRIX, Ahrefs, Google Search Console).
• Analytical and insights-driven, able to translate data into impactful content strategies and deliver with speed and precision.
