As part of the continued drive for excellence, the University is seeking an experienced commercial contracting professional to join the finance division's senior team within this unique environment.

The successful candidate will:

1. Develop a strategic plan for the team at the outset to drive performance improvement and change;
2. Offer expert insight into commercial contracts across the business, including the management of various categories;
3. Support the contracting process for services delivered to external organizations;
4. Develop compliance and governance arrangements to minimize risk;
5. Develop contracting systems to ensure robust processes across the organization;

This crucial role will work closely with the Executive team as a key appointment, cementing the candidate's position as a leading figure in Sussex business. You will play a vital role in supporting the future-proofing of the organization, delivering value-for-money, fostering strong long-term relationships, and minimizing risk.
