With a mission to sequester 1 gigaton of CO₂e by 2050, InSoil has financed over €83 million, enrolled 800,000 hectares of farmland, and supports farmers with technical agronomy, remote sensing, and educational programs. By combining capital, carbon certification, and agronomic expertise, InSoil enables investors and farmers to drive meaningful climate impact and financial returns.

InSoil is seeking an experienced and driven professional to lead the development and execution of its carbon credit commercialization efforts. As Head of Carbon Markets, you will leverage your extensive background in voluntary carbon markets and sales acumen to maximize revenue, manage buyer relationships, and support organizational growth in climate-focused financial products.

You will report directly to the CEO who will rely on you for the definition and deployment of a sales strategy for our projects’ carbon credits, securing spot deals and long term offtake agreements from buyers. You will also contribute to set-up light, agile and efficient commercial processes for the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Commercialization Strategy: Develop and implement plans for selling soil carbon credits, aiming to maximize value and build strategic relationships with aligned buyers.
  • Buyer Relations: Identify, engage, and manage relationships with potential buyers and intermediaries.
  • Market Intelligence: Lead negotiations and maintain an up-to-date database of buyer insights and feedback.
  • Project Collaboration: Support carbon project development and insetting initiatives; participate in internal project teams.
  • Marketing & Outreach: Collaborate with marketing and content teams to execute inbound campaigns targeting sustainability-focused audiences.
  • Sales Structuring: Design and secure long-term purchase agreements.
  • Representation: Act as a company ambassador at Voluntary Carbon Market conferences and meetings requiring industry expertise.
  • Strategic Advisory: Provide the leadership team with insights and support in meetings and key discussions.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise and relationships in voluntary carbon markets, including carbon credit commercialization and good understanding of the Verified Carbon Standard and the Carbon Removal and Carbon Farming Regulation.
  • Strong knowledge of carbon protocols and climate guidelines like SBTi, ICVCM, VCMI, Corsia and IETA.
  • Experience negotiating with corporate buyers, intermediaries, and sustainability stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and high ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently and represent the company’s best interests at all times.
