Role Overview

The Director of Operations & Finance will oversee the seamless functioning of daily operations while maintaining financial health and efficiency. This strategic leader will manage supply chain, inventory, fulfillment, legal, and finance functions, ensuring alignment with company growth targets and values. They will provide leadership and management to establish operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems to support organizational growth and ensure financial strength and operational efficiency. The role requires proactive and respectful leadership that complements the founders and leadership team, guided by the business and financial objectives of HU & Glow.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Operational & Financial Strategy & Efficiency: Lead daily operations, identify process improvements, develop KPIs and reporting systems.
• Supply Chain Management: Manage supplier relationships, ensure timely procurement, optimize inventory, and negotiate contracts.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure products meet quality standards and regulations, oversee documentation and reporting.
• Finance: Manage financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow; oversee financial controls.
• Customer Experience & Fulfillment: Supervise order fulfillment, collaborate on logistics, and resolve customer issues.
• Investor Relations: Maintain financial models, support due diligence, and investor communications.
• Team Leadership & Development: Hire, train, and lead teams; foster a collaborative culture; set objectives.
• Product Development Support: Collaborate with product teams, anticipate production needs.
• Technology Integration: Implement systems for inventory, finance, and order management; leverage data.
• Scaling & Growth Management: Develop scalable systems, anticipate bottlenecks.
• IP & Legal Oversight: Manage intellectual property and legal documents; liaise with counsel.

Key Qualifications

• 7+ years in operations, finance, or management, preferably in CPG, wellness, or beauty sectors.
• Experience managing supply chains, budgeting, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and cash flow management.
• Strong understanding of operational systems (ERP, CRM, inventory tools).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills.
• Proactive with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.

Location

Remote (Schedule flexibility required; founder based in New York & Madrid).
