Job Title : Head of Business Development Europe Report Line : Chief Commercial Officer

Sales and Marketing

The Head of Business Development Europe (HBD) is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of the engineering and integration (E&I) sales growth strategy in collaboration with the engineering team. This role ensures revenue-generating engineering and integration project opportunities within the UK & Europe, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and commissioning services.

The HBD will generate new business opportunities, forge key partnerships, and exceed revenue targets by initiating customer outreach, leading customer workshops, and supporting overall business development efforts to secure revenue-generating projects.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's objectives.
  2. Identifying new market opportunities and targeting key vertical sectors, especially material handling, installation, and integration solutions.
  3. Driving revenue and building relationships within the core services of installation, electrical, and commissioning for MHE / OEMs and other integrators.
  4. Translating complex MHE installation & commissioning needs into tailored solutions, overseeing project execution, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and customers.
  5. Partnering with People & Talent to manage and curate engaging social media content aligned with brand voice and audience.
  6. Staying informed about social media trends and adapting strategies accordingly.
  7. Developing and executing social media content strategies independently, showcasing creativity and brand understanding.
  8. Researching prospect strategies and qualifying leads to facilitate exploratory sales discussions.
  9. Maintaining customer relationship progress in SalesForce.
  10. Representing NPSG Europe / Global at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  11. Collaborating with engineering, HQ, and operations teams for successful project execution.
  12. Networking extensively within the retail, 3PL fulfillment, F&B, and material handling sectors.
  13. Demonstrating understanding of material handling solutions and problem-solving skills related to installation and integration.
  14. Possessing a strong technical background in MHE installation, commissioning, engineering, and integration.
  15. Being data-driven in measuring and improving outreach efforts.
  16. Having knowledge of engineering, project management, logistics, and supply chain (desirable but not essential).
  17. Effectively communicating progress, forecasts, and updates to secure buy-in and resources.
  18. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SalesForce, with AutoCAD preferred.
  19. Experience with social media platforms and visual content creation tools.
  20. Fluent in English; Spanish fluency is beneficial.
