ISP School Head of Marketing – St. George Barcelona

Purpose of Role

The School Head of Marketing works towards outstanding performance across all professional standards, aiming for successful outcomes and efficient administrative operations. This role helps St. George Barcelona become the first choice in the local market (“Schools of Choice”).

The post holder is part of the administrative team, providing a welcoming service to students, staff, families, and visitors, reflecting the school's values. They must prioritize tasks and manage workload independently to maximize retention, drive enrollment, build a positive public image, and strengthen the St. George Barcelona and ISP brands across Spain.

The role actively seeks to ensure an outstanding public perception of the school's operations and provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Identity
  • Develop brand architecture and establish operational frameworks via a brand playbook.
  • Ensure consistent use of the brand across all channels.
  • Support storytelling and promotional efforts to enhance the school's image.
  • Manage social media and community engagement, sharing stories that align with the brand.
  • Create and implement the school's marketing plan.
  • Collaborate with admissions to attract and retain students.
  • Design marketing collateral, templates, and posters.
  • Conduct market research and analysis.
  • Manage website and social media content regularly.
  • Build partnerships with local businesses and relocation agencies for student recruitment.
  • External and Internal Events
  • Lead planning and participation in school events for prospective and current families and students.
  • Develop promotional materials and coordinate communication activities for events.

  • Promote student and family participation in ISP-wide activities.
  • Create newsletters, bulletins, magazines, and yearbooks.
  • Document and photograph key events for marketing use.

  • Report to the Central Office on marketing matters and seek regional support.
  • Provide administrative support and translations as needed.
  • Update the school calendar and support facilities improvement plans.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Journalism, PR, Marketing, or Business.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in education.
  • Native-level English and Spanish proficiency.
  • Positive, flexible attitude.
  • Understanding of Equal Opportunities principles.
  • Strong communication and management skills.
  • Experience in similar environments.
