A leading tech consultancy is looking for a Global SAP Development Lead to oversee their Global SAP Development Factory for a S/4HANA implementation. The role is primarily remote, requiring exceptional leadership and extensive experience in SAP development. Responsibilities include guiding a team, ensuring high-quality standards, and aligning development goals with enterprise strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in budget management and supplier negotiation, particularly within a global matrix organization.

*** Global SAP Development Lead - 13 months + ext. - Remote ***

On behalf of one of our key partners RED now has a new opportunity for a SAP Development Lead to head up their Global SAP Development Factory for an S/4HANA greenfield implementation. The initial contract is until 30/09-2026 with long-term prospects.

This contract is to start ASAP and will be almost 100% remote with occasional travel within Europe.

You will be responsible:

- Define and lead the strategic direction of the Development Factory function, aligning with enterprise goals and technology platform strategies.
- Lead a team of development and delivery professionals, including internal staff and external partners, providing technical guidance,



performance oversight, and professional development.
- Ensure consistent, secure, and high-quality development and customization across SAP and non-SAP systems, in line with architectural and compliance standards.

Specific skills/experience required:

- 10+ years in enterprise IT or application development, with 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing development delivery across heterogeneous technology environments.
- Experience defining and scaling centralized development services or development factories.
- Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA Development (ABAP, FIORI/UI5, SAP BTP, SAP CPI, PI/PO), Integration tools and technologies (API Management, Web Services, IDOCs, EDI, BTP, Boomi, MuleSoft).
- Experience in large scale SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives .
- Experience working in global matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience in budget management.




- Experience managing multi-vendor environments, with strong supplier management and negotiation skills.

Candidates HAS to be based in Europe.
