Lear Corporation in Spain is seeking a senior electronics engineer to design and verify HV/LV DC-DC converters for electrified vehicles. The role involves selecting semiconductors, magnetics, and gate-drive strategies while ensuring safety and EMC compliance.

You will develop analog/digital circuits, run simulations with MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, and PSpice, and contribute to automotive ECU design and lab bring-up. Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

Formación

• Engineering or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in power electronics hardware design.
• Strong expertise in high-voltage DC-DC converter design (400–800V).
• Hands-on laboratory experience with test and measurement equipment.
• Fluency in Spanish and English and experience working in cross-functional, multicultural teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design and verify HV/LV DC-DC converters, including isolated and non-isolated topologies.
• Select semiconductors, define magnetics, and implement gate-drive and control strategies.
• Develop analog and digital circuits using MCU/DSP architectures and communication interfaces.
• Perform simulations and analyses using MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, and PSpice; apply high-voltage safety and EMC design principles.
• Design and validate automotive ECUs and supervisor PCBs for LV system integration.
• Execute hardware testing, bring-up, debugging, and failure analysis in the lab.
• Support functional safety (ISO 26262), cybersecurity (ISO 21434), and contribute to RFQ and proposals.

Job Description

You design and deliver advanced high-voltage power electronics solutions for electrified vehicles, focusing on next-generation HV/LV DC-DC converters. You contribute to strategic EV/HEV programs and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to bring reliable and efficient designs to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and verify HV/LV DC-DC converters, including isolated and non-isolated topologies.
• Select semiconductors, define magnetics, and implement gate-drive and control strategies.
• Develop analog and digital circuits using MCU/DSP architectures and communication interfaces.
• Perform simulations and analyses using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, and PSpice. Apply high-voltage safety and EMC design principles, including isolation and PCB layout best practices.
• Design and validate automotive ECUs and supervisor PCBs for LV system integration.
• Execute hardware testing, bring-up, debugging, and failure analysis in the lab.
• Support functional safety (ISO 26262), cybersecurity (ISO 21434), and contribute to RFQ and technical proposals.

Experience Requirements

Engineering or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.

6+ years of experience in power electronics hardware design.

Strong expertise in high-voltage DC-DC converter design (400–800V).

Hands‑on laboratory experience with test and measurement equipment.

Fluency in Spanish and English and experience working in cross‑functional, multicultural teams.
