Wellfound is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a strong, autonomous team delivering core internal infrastructure and developer-facing systems. You will guide architecture, drive delivery across interconnected areas, and partner with Product to plan roadmaps and releases.

You will mentor senior engineers, optimize CI/CD and release workflows, and shape platform improvements while balancing technical debt with long-term scalability.

Formación

• Strong software engineering background with engineering management experience.
• Experience leading senior, autonomous engineers.
• Background in platform engineering, developer infrastructure, or distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD, release engineering, or internal platforms.
• Strong planning, execution, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance technical trade-offs without needing to be deepest expert.
• Experience hiring, coaching, and developing engineers.
• Pragmatic approach to processes to enhance execution without bureaucracy.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, coach, and develop engineers while maintaining autonomy.
• Own planning, prioritization, and delivery across multiple technical areas.
• Improve visibility into priorities, dependencies, timelines, and ownership.
• Balance product commitments with technical debt and platform improvements.
• Improve CI/CD, release processes, code reviews, and cross-repo collaboration.
• Identify and remove delivery bottlenecks and unnecessary coordination.
• Partner with Product and other teams on roadmap and releases.
• Engage in architecture discussions and technical investigations.
