Hands-on Data Scientist Manager (AI start-up)

We have 3 new openings paying €87k + 10% bonus. Industry: AI software for Pharma, start-up - heavily backed by a global investor. Workplace: Hybrid - 2 days per week. Offices: Barcelona or Madrid.

Our client, the AI tech firm, is helping change the world of Pharma. 2025 is expected to be a busy year, and we need 3 Lead Data Scientists ready to relocate to Madrid or Barcelona. Experience mentoring & coaching is preferred, but management experience is not mandatory.

Key questions:

• Do you understand how data impacts business?
• Are you passionate about Tech / AI and healthcare?
• Can you work effectively in a start-up environment?

Required skills and experience:

• Python, R, SQL
• Leading AI labs and developing AI products
• Object-oriented programming, AWS Lambda, Crontab
• At least 4 years in Machine Learning methodologies
• Business acumen and stakeholder experience
• Experience with embeddings, genAI, LLM fine-tuning, unbalanced problems, RF vs XGB, data leakage with oversampling
• PhD or Masters in Data Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
• AWS experience is a plus
