Air Logistics Group in Barcelona is seeking an air cargo operations agent to run day-to-day operations for our airline principals from Barcelona. You will manage space, bookings and yield while ensuring compliance on documentation and messaging.

You will interact daily with airlines and ALG offices worldwide, prioritise under cut-off pressure, and drive efficient load performance. A strong Excel user with aviation experience is preferred and IATA/DGR training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in air cargo operations at a GSSA, airline, handling agent or forwarder is valued.
• Advanced Excel skills and quick OS adaptation are expected.
• High accuracy with AWBs, manifests and documentation.
• Strong communication with airlines and ALG offices worldwide.

Responsabilités

• Manage bookings and space control for represented airlines: allotments, capacity, prioritisation and offload decisions.
• Optimise load factor and yield flight by flight with sales and pricing teams.
• Check and validate AWBs/e-AWBs and ensure documents are compliant before departure.
• Review manifests and handle cargo messaging (FWB/FSU/FFM/Cargo-IMP/Cargo-XML).
• Coordinate handling agents and trucking to meet cut-offs and control costs.
• Handle special cargo per IATA requirements: dangerous goods, perishables, pharma, valuables, live animals.
• Act as operational point of contact for forwarders: space requests, status, exceptions, problem-solving.
• Report operational and load performance to airline principals.

The role

We're looking for an air cargo operations agent to run the day-to-day operation for a portfolio of our airline principals out of Barcelona.

This is the airline side of air cargo. You are not moving one forwarder's shipments — you are filling aircraft: managing the space you have been given, deciding what goes on which flight, and making sure the revenue and the service both hold up. ALG gives local teams real authority to act, so you will make those calls yourself.

What you'll be doing

• Managing bookings and space control for our represented airlines: allotments, capacity, prioritisation and offload decisions.
• Optimising load factor and yield flight by flight, working with the sales team / pricing and management.
• Checking and validating AWBs and e-AWBs on behalf of the airline; making sure documentation is compliant before departure.
• Checking manifests and handling cargo messaging (FWB, FSU, FFM / Cargo-IMP / Cargo-XML).
• Coordinating handling agents and trucking suppliers to meet cut-offs and keep ground costs under control.
• Handling special cargo in line with IATA requirements: dangerous goods, perishables, pharma, valuables, live animals.
• Being the operational point of contact for forwarders: space requests, status, exception handling, problem-solving.
• Reporting operational and load performance back to our airline principals.

What we're looking for

• Vocational qualification in international trade, logistics or administration / equivalent studies. Recent graduates welcome.
• Experience in air cargo operations — at a GSSA, airline, handling agent, or on a forwarder's air export desk will be valued
• Comfortable with Excel and able to pick up a new operating system quickly.
• Methodical and accurate. In this job a wrong digit on an AWB is a real problem.
• Advanced English — daily contact with airlines and with ALG offices worldwide.
• Fluent Spanish
• Able to prioritise under cut-off pressure without letting documentation accuracy slip.
• Right to work in Spain.
• Driving Licence.
• A plus, but not required: IATA DGR certification, known consignor knowledge, previous GSSA experience, a third language, pharma, perishables, e-commerce traffic.
