Job description

EU Business School is a multicultural hub where innovation meets academic excellence. As part of the Omnes Education Group, we offer top-ranked foundation, bachelor's, and master's programs across various on-campus and online locations, positioning us as a global leader in business education.

We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to lead the finance function for a c. EUR 65M revenue, multi-entity, and multi-campus institution. Reporting directly to the CFO, the FP&A Manager will own budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, acting as the primary finance business partner to campus, program, and functional leaders.

The Role

With an emphasis on automation and the reduction of operational tasks, this role is explicitly refocused on high-value, strategic analysis. A key priority will be the development of a data- and AI-driven FP&A function, establishing a single source of truth that supports faster, well-informed decisions at the entity, campus, and program levels.

Main Responsibilities
1) Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Lead the annual budget process, as well as periodic forecasts and landings across all entities and campuses.
  • Provide clear financial analysis and scenario planning to support business reviews for the CFO, CEO, and Omnes Group.
  • Improve forecast accuracy and translate variances into clear actions and accountability.
  • Build and maintain a driver-based topline model linking the recruitment pipeline, ATP, arrivals, retention, scholarships, pricing, tuition revenue, and cash collection.
  • Partner with Growth, Admissions, and Campus Directors to monitor intake performance and proactively anticipate revenue risks.
  • Develop profitability views at the campus and program levels to support pricing, portfolio, and investment decisions.
3) Management Reporting & Performance Analysis
  • Own monthly management reporting and performance packs for the CFO, Executive Committee, and Omnes Group.
  • Assume responsibility for the Business Report within FP&A, rationalizing KPIs, definitions, and formats around a single source of truth.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analyses with clear recommendations, prioritizing requests while reducing recurring manual work.
4) Business Partnering & Financial Ownership
  • Act as the core finance business partner to Campus Directors and program/functional leaders in Barcelona, Geneva, Munich, and Digital.
  • Strengthen budget ownership and cultivate an analytical, cost-conscious mindset across management through simplified processes, training, and tools.
  • Clarify roles, processes, and responsibilities among FP&A, Accounting, and the wider business.
5) Data, Automation & AI
  • Spearhead the implementation of analytical accounting and adapt management reporting accordingly.
  • Automate planning and reporting processes, promoting the pragmatic use of data and AI across FP&A in coordination with IT and the broader EUBS AI roadmap.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop an FP&A team of two, ensuring clear roles, strong accountability, and a business-partner mindset.
  • Promote cross-campus collaboration, continuous improvement, and data literacy within Finance and across the business.
Skills & Education
  • Education: Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. (CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent is a strong advantage).
  • Experience: 6 to 9+ years of progressive FP&A or management control experience, including at least 3 years leading a team as an FP&A Manager, Head of FP&A, or equivalent.
  • Scope: Proven international, multi-entity, and ideally multi-site experience, including reporting to a parent group. Experience within the education or services sector is highly valued.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and driver-based financial modeling, specifically concerning volume- and price-driven revenue.
  • Systems & Transformation: Track record of building management reporting, KPIs, and dashboards. Advanced proficiency in Excel and BI tools (e.g., Power BI), coupled with a hands‑on interest in automation and AI tools. Experience in finance transformation (process redesign, system implementation, and activity transfer) is required.
Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional business-partnering skills, demonstrating the ability to explain complex financial data clearly to non-finance managers and challenge constructively.
What We Offer
  • Work-Life Balance: A permanent, 36-hour weekly contract featuring reduced hours on Fridays and throughout Summer weeks.
  • Flexibility: A hybrid work model (1 day of remote work per week) to support professional and personal equilibrium.
  • Professional Environment: A stable, multicultural corporate environment offering the opportunity to achieve deep operational mastery and serve as an irreplaceable cornerstone of the institution’s financial strategy.
  • Benefits: Competitive health insurance, meal card options, Monday team breakfasts, and local restaurant discounts in the center of Barcelona.
