A leading company in infrastructure management seeks a Group Finance Manager to oversee financial operations. The role entails ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing budgets, and leading a team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in auditing and controlling, coupled with strong analytical skills and fluency in English.

Formación

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years' experience in audit Big 4 and controlling.
  • High level of English required; French proficiency highly valued.
  • Strong business analytical and budgeting skills.

We are a subsidiary of Abertis Group, expert in the implementation of technological platforms and operation services for infrastructure management and intelligent mobility in urban and interurban environments.

We focus on free flow toll activities and the implementation of the technological ecosystem for urban traffic management through Low Emission Zones and other systems, such as charging for infrastructure use.

We operate in multiple countries, including, UK, USA, Canada, France, Croatia, Puerto Rico, and Chile, AMS is expanding and constantly seeking new and innovative solutions for the tolling market.

Job Purpose

The AMS Group Finance Manager ensures the reliability of the Group financial information (accounting, audit, tax), monitors the economic performance of the business, prepares key financial information for the top management, oversees the shareholders (Abertis) controlling department relationship and procedures such as budget, strategic plan and leads procurement responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Reporting & Planning

  • Ensure the monthly reporting process is done on time and with accuracy.
  • Prepare information for the AMS Group administrative bodies and AMS shareholders (monthly management report, Project P&L, Group and regional analytical P&L among others).
  • Prepare and analyses monthly cash forecast of the group.
  • Analyse the performance of the group.
  • Monitor the economic performance of the business to ensure the goals are met in coordination with Regional CFOs.
  • Manage the Budget and Forecasting process across the group.
  • Monitor customer contracts by collecting, classifying and recording the information needed to monitor projects in SAP.
  • Ad hoc analysis requested by management.

Projects Follow up

  • Build a true partnership with local financial teams and Project Managers to support them in monitoring the financial aspects of their projects.
  • P&L Follow up.
  • Help improve management tools aiming to provide General Management and the Project Manager with a better view of the project's costs and profitability.
  • Provide Historical data to the bid team.
  • Review the different offer and ensure their alignment with Finance strategy, local tax requirement.

Internal control

  • Set up procedures aiming to reinforce the internal control system and improve the reliability of the company's processes.
  • SAP Key user and Role’s attribution across the group.
  • Deployment of the new features of SAP.

Procurement

  • Define and ensure compliance of procurement policies.
  • Support Group / project procurement needs.
  • Lead Opex & Capex committee.

Management

  • Management of the team of 5 composed by : 2 controllers, 1 reporting responsible, 2 procurement.
  • Ensure the Development of the skills and the training of the team members.

Relations : Internal :

  • AMS Group transversal relationship with all departments and subsidiaries
  • Shareholders

External : subcontractors, mainly such as auditors, tax advisors and other subcontractors.

Requirements

Education : Business Administration management, Economics degree or a related Degree.

Experience : Minimum 7 to 10 years' experience gained in an audit Big 4 company plus controlling departments.

Required Knowledge :

  • Business analytical skills both financial and business side.
  • Budgeting, forecasting (mid and long term) P&L management.
  • Project Controlling.
  • Capex monitoring and projects follow up.
  • Accounting and Audit skills.
  • High level tax knowledge.
  • Identification, measurement and analysis of gaps.
  • Drafting commented reports.

Skills :

  • Rigor, organization, autonomy and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and deductive skills, written and oral communication skills.
  • Team player able to “defend” the position, leadership.
  • Startup spirit such as multi-tasking and willingness to roll- up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • High level of English (must).
  • French high level will be highly valued.
