Aurora is an established supplier of skilled manpower to its clients, currently seeking a Ground Segment L2 Maintenance Engineer.

Responsibilities include:
- Supporting AIV campaigns for the Galileo Ground Control Segment.
- Defining and maintaining test documentation.
- Supporting the preparation and execution of Non-Regression / System Validation Tests.
- Supporting OPS / L1 and L3 teams in problem management, system restoration, and handling security incidents.
- Providing inputs to Service Asset and Configuration Management, including configuration maintenance.
- Supporting milestone reviews related to L2 / L3 maintenance handover.
- Designing end-to-end maintenance and troubleshooting environments.
- Contributing to the release strategy for GCS infrastructure evolutions.
- Providing on-call support for on-site recovery of the Core of Trust outside normal hours.
- Applying software patches and updates, especially cybersecurity-related, to maintain system security and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in a relevant technical field with at least 5 years of experience.
- Experience with ground system AIV campaigns and operations.
- Familiarity with IT systems, web applications, and server hardware.
- Knowledge of Galileo or similar navigation ground segments is a plus.
- Willingness to follow procedures and find workarounds when needed.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles is desirable.
- Ability to coordinate complex tasks across teams.
- Interest in continuous learning and new technologies.
- Willingness to travel for training and workshops.
- Proficiency in English; basic Spanish language skills are expected.

- Legal authorization to work in Spain without a visa; EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens only.
- Provision of passport and degree certificate; degree validation required.
- Recent good conduct certificate from current country of residence.
Location:
Madrid, Spain, at the DLR second location.
Contract Details:
