Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Grid-Side Converter Control Engineer to develop and validate advanced control solutions for grid-connected power converters used in renewable energy systems. You will work with grid-forming and grid-following technologies, designing control strategies, simulations, and real-time verification to ensure reliable grid integration.

You will collaborate cross-functionally to improve performance, stability, and integration across the product lifecycle, including

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Control Systems, Energy Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in power electronics, converter control, renewable energy systems, or grid integration engineering.
• Strong knowledge of grid-forming and grid-following control strategies, synchronization techniques, PLLs, and power converter control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize grid-forming and grid-following converter control algorithms.
• Create and maintain converter and grid models using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Perform stability, harmonic, synchronization, and converter-grid interaction studies.
• Validate control solutions through HIL and real-time simulation platforms.
• Support system integration, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and grid compliance activities.
