CATL is seeking a Technical Design Manager/Engineer to own the end-to-end grid interconnection and compliance lifecycle for utility-scale battery projects across the EU. The role supports Grid and Project Development teams and allows home-based work, with projects spanning Europe.

You will drive grid connection strategy from origination through energisation and COD, balancing technical know-how with stakeholder management and regulatory tracking in a dynamic renewable portfolio.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems, Master’s preferred.
• 5–7 years of grid interconnection experience for utility-scale assets.
• Experience engaging with TSOs/DSOs and utilities on interconnection processes.
• Strong understanding of grid codes, interconnection standards and market rules.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end grid interconnection, compliance and integration lifecycle for BESS assets.
• Lead grid capacity screening, interconnection submissions and negotiate terms.
• Oversee power system studies: load flow, short circuit, harmonics and grid dynamics.
• Coordinate with developers, EPC, legal and commercial teams to embed grid constraints.
• Interact with OEMs to align controls with grid operator requirements.
• Maintain milestone trackers and report risks, delays and costs to leadership.
