Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Madrid is seeking a senior Data Management Leader to oversee data governance, quality, and architecture across ERP, PLM, CRM, and cloud platforms. You will align BU data strategy with enterprise goals, enable AI readiness, and drive a culture of data ownership and excellence.

The role requires 10+ years of experience in data management disciplines, with strong collaboration across business and IT teams to deliver strategic data initiatives end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data governance, master data management, data quality and data architecture.
• Experience establishing data ownership and stewardship in a federated organization.
• Technical fluency across SAP ERP, PLM/MES/CRM, cloud data platforms and data catalogs/APIs.
• Industrial background in energy, engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure or automation.
• Leadership through influence bridging business and technical teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Certifications such as CDMP or change management are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive BU 1-3 year Data Management roadmap for digital transformation.
• Establish data domain ownership and clarify Owner, Steward and Custodian roles.
• Define and maintain data quality framework, metadata management, and compliance.
• Shape data platform strategy and harmonized data models across systems.
• Ensure data readiness for AI and Generative AI use cases.
• Build BU Data Management community and drive change management.
• Act as trusted advisor between Corporate, BU, GPGs and Functions.
