Job summary

ENGIE España in Madrid seeks a Data & AI Engineering Lead to architect and evolve the operational data perimeter supporting Energy Trading. You will lead scalable AWS data pipelines, data models and analytics platforms, driving AI-enabled insights and automation for decision making.

This senior, hands-on role combines deep cloud data engineering with stakeholder collaboration across traders and IT teams. You will shape data strategy, ensure quality and reliability, while mentoring engineers and

Qualifications

7+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or cloud data architecture.
Experience with AWS data services including Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, Step Functions.
Proficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering and analytics.
Experience building dashboards with Power BI, QuickSight, Grafana or similar.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of the Energy Trading data platform and operational data perimeter.
Design cloud-native data architectures and infrastructure using IaC.
Build and optimize AWS-based data pipelines and architectures with data quality, governance and security.
Develop data models, curated datasets, dashboards, and analytics for Trading, Risk, and Operations.
Drive adoption of AI/ML solutions for forecasting, automation, optimization, anomaly detection.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
Oversee reliability, availability, and performance of the cloud data platform.
