Job Description:

The Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public institution in Barcelona that promotes biomedical research, innovation, and education. Recognized as HR Excellence by the European Commission, VHIR values equality and diversity in its workforce.

We are seeking a Graduate Technician for the Diabetes and Metabolism Department to work on a 4-month project developing a proof of concept for new therapies for polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). The role involves participating in the development of a PCOS mouse model and analyzing in vivo experiments under the supervision of Dr. David M. Selva.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor's in Life/Health Sciences or Biomedical Research; experience in molecular/cellular techniques; good communication and computer skills.
  • Desired: Master's degree in relevant field.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop PCOS mouse model (2 months).
  • Process and analyze samples from in vivo experiments (2 months).

Labour conditions:

  • Part-time, 37.5h/week, immediate start.
  • Salary: €21,396.77/year, depending on experience.
  • Contract linked to project activities.
