Worley is seeking a Master Planner in Madrid to assist in delivering consulting services within the Master Plan and Facilities Team. The role involves working on design projects, conducting workshops, and ensuring compliance with regulatory specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree in Architecture or Urban Planning, strong design skills, and proficiency in necessary software including AutoCAD and Revit. A hybrid working option is available to promote work-life balance.

Profile Summary

As part of the Worley Community and under supervision and mentorship within the Master Plan and Facilities Team department, you will assist, as a Master Planner, in the delivery of consulting services to Worley and our customers. You will be based in our Madrid office and be part of our global network of Master Planning professionals.

Accountabilities
  • Work within a design team on various projects
  • Have a passion for high quality design
  • Run design workshops and presentations with the different project stakeholders
  • Deliver architectural services that meet Worley, its customers' requirements, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget
  • Perform architectural master planning services such as: contributing to appropriate studies, analyses, and recommend actions; and assisting with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports
  • Communicate effectively with the master planning team and project stakeholders, including the customer
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance if required
  • Visualization support on video and image production tasks
  • Work on BIM/Revit models and AutoCAD drawings
  • Have strong visual communication skills
  • Have an interest in industrial and urban master planning
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
  • A recognized and relevant Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Urban Design, or equivalent.
LANGUAGES
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Rhino
  • Knowledge of GIS Software
  • Some skills in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Rendering tools such as Unreal Engine or Twinmotion would be desirable
Soft Skills
  • Verbal communication skills.
  • Time‑management skills.
Additional Information
  • Be based in Spain with the option of hybrid working spending time between office and home
  • Be part of the Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics (TIL) business line in the EMEA Region
  • Report to the Master Planning Practice Lead for EMEA, based in London, UK
  • Collaborate in a global master planning network with the combined goal to support and grow the industrial master planning service offer across all regions
  • Apply and develop new design thinking principles to the master planning process to define, assess and develop appropriate solutions that are human‑centric and balance the needs of people and planet
  • Apply and integrate new methods of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) into the spatial master planning process, finding innovative solutions to make facilities greener, more user‑centric and efficient
  • Collaborate with other Worley Consulting business lines of TIL, Environment and Water, and Energy, Chemicals and Resources Advisory to cross‑sell and enhance the client service offer
  • Evaluate new opportunities to integrate AI and generative design capabilities in the master planning process
  • Provide opportunities to travel on business and have a desire to experience different cultures and ways of working
