Arup in Madrid seeks a Senior Urban Designer to lead urban planning projects, conceptualize development proposals, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across architects, engineers, and planners. You will work with clients on planning instruments, feasibility studies, and urban development, bringing expertise in CAD, ArcGIS, and the Adobe suite, with Spanish fluency and strong English.

• Studies in Architecture or Civil Engineering or related studies.
• 5+ years of experience in described functions.
• Special interest in urban planning, strategic consultancy, planning, processing, and land development.
• Knowledge of CAD and ArcGIS.
• Knowledge of Adobe package (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Full professional competence in Spanish and high level of English (C1).
• Keen for multidisciplinary projects and interest in sustainability and innovation.
• High organizational and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in urban planning projects, including conceptualization of urban development proposals, drafting and processing of planning instruments, processing of urbanization projects, urban feasibility analysis, etc.
• Contribute to the integration and coordination of multidisciplinary teams that typically include architects, engineers, urban planners, environmentalists, sociologists, economists and lawyers.
• Contribute to project communication with clients.
• Have a better understanding of urban complexity in an environment continuous training.

This is your chance to be part of the City Planning & Design team, an area that is dedicated, among other things, to the planning and development of cities, seeking a balance between the social, economic and environmental dimensions, and always providing the components of sustainability and innovation to all development proposals. You will join a dynamic team and will participate in all cutting-edge projects carried out in the Department.

As a Senior Urban Designer at Arup, you will:

• Participate in urban planning projects, including conceptualization of urban development proposals, drafting and processing of planning instruments, processing of urbanization projects, urban feasibility analysis, etc.

Studies in Architecture or Civil Engineering or related studies

5+ years of experience in described functions

Special interest in urban planning, strategic consultancy, planning, processing, and land development

It will be essential to have knowledge of CAD and ArcGIS

Knowledge of Adobe package (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).

Full professional competence in Spanish and h igh level of English (C1)

Keen for working on multidisciplinary projects and interest in sustainability and innovation.

High organizational and communication skills.

• Master in planning, urban planning, urban processing or territorial organization.
• Knowledge in communication and visualization of urban planning projects
