We are expanding our in-house legal team and seeking an exceptional recent graduate for the role of Junior Legal Advisor or Junior Legal Counsel. The successful candidate will be a rigorous and effective practitioner with strong academic achievements and social engagement. They will work on transactional matters in technology and enterprise software, including contracts related to global employment, contracting, and partnerships. The role emphasizes ability over experience; applicants with relevant degrees but limited experience are encouraged to apply. The candidate will collaborate closely with our legal team and international colleagues.

Candidates should demonstrate good commercial judgment, be organized, efficient, and capable of providing high-quality legal and commercial advice. We value a rigorous work ethic, detailed analysis, conscientiousness, and a proactive approach to improvement.

Location : This is a home-based role available in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or the Americas, with an option to work from our London office.

The role entails

• Reporting to our global general counsel
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts globally
• Providing legal support to internal teams, including sales
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on company initiatives
• Managing contract data within Canonical's system
• Working with local counsels in various countries for legal advice
