Description

When you join Amazon as an Area / Shift Manager, you’ll gain experience leading a large and diverse team to ensure your area of the business keeps pace with demand. This hands-on role involves learning about the complexity of operations at a global business and what it takes to make everything run seamlessly. You’ll implement your team’s approach to drive productivity and work closely with colleagues to address challenges, making each day unique.

Key job responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
  • Analyze and implement corrective actions to maintain high quality and productivity levels, meeting business objectives across all shifts
  • Support and lead a team while handling administrative tasks and fostering a strong team culture
  • Analyze performance data and suggest process improvements to optimize work and enhance customer service
  • Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes
A day in the life

You’ll work shifts at one of our operational sites, focusing on maintaining safety standards and process efficiency. Your daily tasks will include managing your team, handling escalations, working on process improvements, and contingency planning. Collaboration with colleagues and external partners will be essential to meet customer demands and targets, involving data analysis and discussions on technical improvements with engineers.

Basic Qualifications
  • Final year university student working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English and the local language
  • Relevant experience in data analysis
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience communicating with stakeholders, including peers and leadership
  • Experience in a logistics environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
