Job summary

GainRep in Madrid is seeking a Backend Go Developer to join our technology team. You will progressively take on more autonomy in designing, developing, and maintaining efficient, scalable backend applications in Go, with mentorship from senior engineers.

You will collaborate with frontend and other tech profiles to integrate services, design RESTful APIs, and work on unit and integration tests. A strong grasp of relational and NoSQL databases and problem-solving mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of backend development experience
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis) databases
• Hands-on experience with Git and branching workflows
• Familiarity with common design patterns and Clean Code principles
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Ability to estimate tasks and participate in Agile sprint planning

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend components and microservices in Go, progressively working more independently.
• Design and implement clean, efficient, and well-documented RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with Frontend and other technical profiles to integrate services.
• Identify, debug, and resolve issues in production and testing environments.
• Contribute to code reviews with constructive feedback.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality and stability.
• Propose improvements to performance of existing applications and database queries.
• Participate in task estimation and sprint planning within Agile environment
