About the role

The main purpose of this role is to:

• Ensure local teams (sales, training & support) in all Straumann subsidiaries and distributors are trained and enabled to meet customer needs regarding Smilecloud & digital dental workflows by creating and delivering training content and tools for various formats including face-to-face, virtual, and online settings.
• Collaborate with software and service developers to provide integrated self-directed learning experiences within our primary software, services, and portals.
• Offer clinical expertise as the voice of the dentist for various projects.

The primary recipients of training are regional and local organizations, with occasional broader cross-functional and customer engagement. International travel is expected, with frequency based on demand.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design training concepts supporting Smilecloud and related workflows for delivery across different formats.
• Create high-quality training materials such as agendas, presentations, workbooks, videos, reference documents, eLearning modules, podcasts, etc.
• Work with developers to embed user learning experiences into our platforms.
• Deliver training globally via face-to-face sessions and virtual platforms like Teams and social media.
• Define vision, standards, and benchmarks for global Training & Education in collaboration with leadership.
• Coordinate with regional and national training teams to implement aligned training plans.
• Contribute to projects with clinical insights, ensuring training supports new product launches and updates.
• Deliver onboarding training for new employees using appropriate platforms and programs.
• Act as a role model, mentor, and coach within the organization.
• Participate in special projects requiring clinical expertise, representing customer/dentist perspectives.

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

• Experience in the dental industry, especially in esthetic dentistry with smile design or treatment planning software.
• Proven training and education experience in face-to-face, virtual, and online formats.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in structured learning design, preferably related to software training.
• Fluency in English; multilingual skills are advantageous.
