For our Global Engineering team working on power transformers, we are seeking a senior electrical design engineer responsible for optimizing designs, identifying the best solutions, and performing design reviews. The candidate will work closely with R&D experts and support R&D projects or other global initiatives with specialized design activities. As part of a global team, the candidate will collaborate with the engineering community across all our factories worldwide.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Electrical design optimization for must-win tenders and frame agreements, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and internal standards.
• Conducting electrical design reviews for critical designs and validating different solutions.
• Collaborating on strategic initiatives with the global engineering team, including special design investigations, documentation, and creating technical guidelines.
• Supporting the development and deployment of design tools.
• Contributing to knowledge sharing within the engineering community across various locations.

Your background

• University Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in electrical design of power transformers.
• Design experience in areas such as rectifier or furnace transformers, variable speed drive transformers with special connections (extended delta, closed delta / polygon, or zig-zag) and harmonics, or special rail infrastructure transformers (Static Frequency Converter, Scott, Le-Blanc, V / V, Woodbridge, or Rectifier transformers).
• Familiarity with international standards like IEC, IEEE, and others related to power transformers is highly desirable. Experience aligned with IEEE / ANSI standards is preferred.
• An analytical mindset with a focus on quality and the ability to propose and develop solutions.
• Excellent oral and written English skills.
• Willingness to travel abroad.
