Global Procurement Project Manager – Ceramic f / d

We’re looking for a Senior Procurement Project Manager with strong technical expertise in manufacturing Ceramic Tile processes and Project Management to join our Center of Excellence (COE) of Mohawk Group, based in Root (Lucerne).

The Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) is a strategic team that advises, influences, and enables outcomes supporting procurement strategy. It identifies and implements best practices and delivers data/analytical insights for key decisions across the enterprise.

What you’ll do :

As a Senior Procurement Project Manager, you will bring curiosity, a data-driven approach, procurement, and ceramic tile process expertise to implement best practices, methodologies, and models. Your responsibilities include project management, efficiency improvement, data analytics, and value stream mapping analysis. You will interact with various worldwide Ceramic teams and support projects in the Global Ceramic division of Mohawk Group (Marazzi Group, Dal-Tile US, Dal-Tile Mexico, Mohawk Brazil, etc.).

Your responsibilities :

  • Coordinate and support global efficiency projects in procurement activities, including cost initiatives and complexity reduction in main ceramic cost categories (Materials, Glazes, Consumables, MRO, Spare parts, etc.).
  • Manage projects in complex environments and leverage insights to drive cost optimization efforts.
  • Support local procurement teams worldwide.
  • Use deep ceramic experience and a data-driven approach to identify value creation opportunities.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities and develop strategic sourcing plans.
  • Manage sourcing events, including RFx material preparation, bid analysis, and event coordination.
  • Conduct cost modeling, benchmarking, and identify alternative materials and savings opportunities.
  • Execute market research and generate insights relevant to categories and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with internal documentation and processes.
  • Act as a key contact with the Marazzi group.

What we’re looking for :

  • Experience and expertise in Ceramic Tile industries or similar industries, with knowledge in process & manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering, Chemical, Supply Chain, or related fields; Procurement experience is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in Ceramic Tile manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization through collaboration and influencing.
  • Proven project management experience in international environments, delivering projects like complexity reduction and value engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze complex data and generate insights.
  • Drive for results, persuasive communication, and a support/supportive mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong digital skills and Excel proficiency.
  • Fluent in English; Italian and Spanish are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Italy, US, Brazil, Mexico, with potential long stays.
