Global Procurement Project Manager – Ceramic f / d

We’re looking for a Senior Procurement Project Manager with strong technical expertise in manufacturing Ceramic Tile processes as well as in Project Management. To join our Center of Excellence (COE) of Mohawk Group, based in Root (Lucerne).

The Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) is a strategic team that advises, influences, and enables outcomes supporting procurement strategy. It identifies and implements best practices and delivers data / analytical insights for key decisions across the enterprise.

What you’ll do :

As a Senior Procurement Project Manager, you will bring curiosity, a data-driven approach, procurement and ceramic tile process expertise to implement best practices, methodologies, and models. Your responsibilities include project management, efficiency improvement, data analytics, and value stream mapping analysis. You will interact strongly with the different worldwide Ceramic teams and support and coordinate specific projects in the Global Ceramic division of Mohawk Group (Marazzi Group, Dal-Tile US, Dal-Tile Mexico, Mohawk Brazil, ...).

Your responsibilities :

• Coordinate and support global efficiency projects in procurement activities, including cost initiatives and complexity reduction in main ceramic cost categories (Materials, Glazes, Consumables, MRO, Spare parts, ...). Ability to manage projects in complex environments is critical.
• Perform category analysis and leverage insights to drive cost optimization efforts.
• Support the local procurement teams worldwide.
• Leverage deep ceramic experience and a data-driven approach to identify value creation opportunities.
• Identify sourcing opportunities and develop strategic sourcing plans.
• Manage sourcing events, including RFx material preparation, bid analysis, and event coordination.
• Conduct should-cost modeling, competitive benchmarking, and identify alternative materials and savings opportunities.
• Execute supply market research and generate insights relevant to assigned categories and projects.
• Ensure compliance with internal documentation and processes.
• Act as a key contact with the Marazzi group.

What we’re looking for :

• Experience and expertise in Ceramic Tile industries or similar industries, with knowledge in process & manufacturing.
• Bachelor or higher degree in Engineering, Chemical, Supply Chain, or related fields; Procurement experience is a plus.
• 7+ years of work experience in Ceramic Tile manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate effectively in a matrix-driven organization through collaboration and influencing.
• Proven experience in project management in an international environment, delivering projects and categories such as complexity reduction and value engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for analyzing complex data, identifying trends, and generating actionable insights.
• Drive for results, persuasiveness, and a supportive mindset.
• Ability to thrive independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong digital skills and Excel proficiency are crucial.
• Fluent spoken and written English; Italian & Spanish are a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Italy, US, Brazil, Mexico, with potential stays of several weeks.
