Job summary

Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Global Medical Training Specialist to design, deliver and advance high-quality learning programs for global medical teams.

You will translate learning needs into practical training, coordinate delivery across live, virtual and self-directed formats, and ensure scientific accuracy and compliance. In this role you will use AI-enabled tools to accelerate content development while maintaining rigorous human oversight, partnering with therapeutic area

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical science, education, learning and development or related field.
• Minimum 12 months’ experience supporting the design, delivery or coordination of learning and development initiatives in pharma or life sciences.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and ability to translate objectives into practical training.
• Strong organisation and project coordination skills managing multiple deliverables, stakeholders and timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication across global cross-functional teams.
• Comfort using digital learning tools and approved AI applications with human oversight.
• Commitment to quality, accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Identify learning needs and plan practical delivery aligned with medical priorities.
• Design engaging, audience-appropriate learning experiences and materials using instructional design principles across live, virtual and self-directed formats.
• Coordinate and deliver high-quality training sessions, workshops and learning programmes, including facilitator preparation, learner communications and delivery logistics.
• Manage assigned initiatives from brief through implementation with milestones and resources.
• Support launch learning plans that build knowledge, skills and confidence for medical teams.
• Maintain high standards for scientific accuracy, learner experience, accessibility and compliance.
• Gather learner feedback and use data to assess participation, effectiveness and opportunities to improve future interventions.
• Use approved AI and digital tools to support research, drafting, content adaptation, quality checks and learner personalisation with human oversight.
• Work within a therapeutic area under Global Medical Director guidance and share approaches across the team to strengthen consistency.
