Job summary

embecta is seeking a Master Data Specialist to own and optimize data foundations for reporting, analytics, and decision-making across our international business. You will integrate data from Salesforce, SAP, IQVIA, and other sources into a centralized, trusted environment.

Responsibilities include building ETL pipelines, ensuring data quality, managing Salesforce master data, and optimizing Power BI models. Strong analytical skills and independent project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a data-related field.
• Experience with Power BI and advanced DAX.
• Knowledge of Salesforce data management.
• Experience integrating Salesforce, IQVIA, SAP data sources.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL processes connecting Salesforce, IQVIA, SAP, and additional data sources.
• Develop automated, schedule-based data pipelines with robust error-handling and alerting.
• Centralize all locally purchased data assets (e.g., IQVIA) into a single environment.
• Support the Monthly Business Review data pipeline and reporting infrastructure.
• Implement standardized data-cleaning protocols and validation frameworks.
• Identify and resolve data-quality issues at source or within transformation layers.
• Build and maintain data-quality dashboards and metrics across regions.
• Maintain accurate account hierarchies and customer master data in Salesforce.
• Troubleshoot Salesforce-to-analytics data synchronization.
• Ensure data consistency across Salesforce environments and connected systems.
• Maintain and update global account hierarchies and territory mappings.
• Develop and enforce standardized account-naming conventions.
• Create and manage account-to-cluster mapping tables.
• Manage account mergers, divestitures, and organizational changes.
• Set up and optimize Power BI data models (DirectQuery and Import).
• Create reusable templates and design standards for Power BI development.
• Monitor and improve query performance across Power BI datasets.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual data-processing.
• Evaluate AI-enabled features with IT to enhance data workflows.
• Develop scripts or tools to automate validation and transformation tasks.
