Job summary

Elawan Energy is seeking an O&M High Voltage Engineer – Substations to join its Corporate O&M team, providing specialised technical support for the electrical infrastructure across an international portfolio of renewable energy assets.

The role will cover substations, transmission lines, protection and control systems and associated electrical infrastructure, supporting technical standards, asset management and the acquisition, construction, commissioning and operation of new assets.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in Power Systems or HV desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in engineering, operation or maintenance of electrical substations and HV transmission.
• Experience in protection and control systems, testing, commissioning and electrical incident analysis desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as the corporate technical reference for the electrical infrastructure including HV substations and transmission lines.
• Oversee operation and maintenance across the portfolio, driving reliability, availability and safety.
• Coordinate with grid operators and DSOs, handle switching operations and regulatory requirements.
• Manage protection studies, relay coordination and protection settings.
• Lead RCA and corrective action plans from event records and disturbances.
• Support technical specifications, tender processes and contract management.
