Overall responsibility for organizing and leading the marketing function for TOEFL globally:

  • Serve as the expert marketer for TOEFL, crafting and executing comprehensive strategies across digital, MarTech, traditional advertising, PR, & brand development.
  • Collaborate with sales, product development, and finance to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead digital marketing efforts and automation to enhance online presence and lead generation for B2C and B2B audiences.
  • Manage marketing budgets strategically.
  • Spearhead customer acquisition and retention initiatives.
  • Supervise pricing, product marketing, communications, advertising, and PR activities.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams, including performance marketing, content creation, and GTM teams.
  • Support global and local marketing agendas, fostering a culture of creativity and accountability.
  • Ensure the marketing department is well-resourced and focused on success.

Driving strategy and optimizing data:

  • Drive growth by evolving TOEFL's communication strategy based on media landscape and consumer behavior insights.
  • Lead competitor research and stay informed on macro trends.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and legal regulations.

Experience and Skills:

  • At least 3 years of senior leadership and 10 years in digital marketing, with expertise in performance marketing, preferably in a global role.
  • Experience managing substantial marketing budgets.
  • Proficiency with MarTech tools and modern technologies.
  • Background in fast-growth digital businesses or online marketplaces (B2B and B2C).
  • Proven leadership in global marketing strategies.
  • Strong data and analytical skills.
  • Experience in PPC, SEO, paid search, social marketing, and digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with lead generation tools like Hubspot, Apollo, Marketo, Outreach.io.
  • Excellent presentation skills for senior audiences.
  • Innovative mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields; MBA preferred.
  • 13+ years of successful team leadership experience, including remote teams.
