Preply is seeking a Fraud Prevention Manager to lead the Fraud Operations team within Customer Care, safeguarding the marketplace's financial integrity at global scale. You will shape strategy, governance, and day-to-day operations, coordinating with Product, Payments, and Finance to embed fraud risk into decision-making.

You’ll translate frontline observations into actionable requirements that drive the detection roadmap and improve KPIs like chargeback rate and false positives.

Formación

• 6-8+ years in fraud operations, payments risk or financial crime.
• Proven track record leading fraud or risk operations in marketplace/fintech/e-commerce.
• Deep expertise in fraud investigation, chargeback management and detection workflows.
• Experience owning operational KPIs and translating data into decisions.
• Strong leadership and people management.
• Strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration.
• Data-driven decision making and effective communication.
• Fraud investigation methodology.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop a team of Fraud Specialists, establishing performance expectations and a high-judgement culture.
• Own the Fraud Operations roadmap and align priorities with wider business goals.
• Design and formalise investigation standards, workflows, escalation protocols, and documentation frameworks.
• Define and improve Fraud Ops KPIs (chargeback rate, dispute SLAs, false positives, exposure).
• Establish governance with Finance and leadership for risk reviews and threshold calibration.
• Translate day-to-day fraud observations into actionable requirements for Product and Data to shape detection roadmap.
• Collaborate with Product, Payments, and Finance as the primary fraud authority.
• Oversee workforce planning to ensure operational resilience.
• Present fraud performance and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous process improvement through root-cause analysis and tooling evolution.
