SIG Group is seeking a Global Field Service Engineer to provide advanced technical expertise for SIG filling lines and packaging systems at customer sites worldwide. The role collaborates with Service Teams and cross-functional groups to implement new technologies and ensure reliable operation.

Requirements include strong technical qualifications, up to 8 years in technical service, and willingness to travel internationally. Proficiency in English and Spanish is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or equivalent; an associate degree or 2–4 years of technical vocational training is preferred.
• Relevant technical qualification and/or strong practical experience in industrial machinery, automation, electrical, mechanical or related technical fields.
• Up to 8 years of relevant professional experience in technical service, field service, commissioning, maintenance or a comparable industrial environment.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automation systems.
• Experience with installation, commissioning, maintenance and technical support of industrial equipment.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and make sound technical decisions within established procedures.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail in reports.
• Ability to coordinate technicians or subcontractors during complex service interventions.
• Customer-oriented approach with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally frequently.
• English and Spanish working proficiency; French a plus.

Responsabilités

• Install, commission, calibrate and parameterize industrial machinery and filling line equipment at customer sites.
• Perform FAT and SAT and document activities.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automation issues.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance per procedures.
• Provide on-site and remote advanced technical support via digital connectivity tools.
• Act as technical lead during complex service interventions and coordinate field technicians or subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project managers and QA teams to resolve customer issues.
• Conduct technical audits and assess machine condition for improvements.
• Provide expert training on equipment operation, maintenance and safety.
• Prepare accurate technical reports, checklists and service documentation.
• Share field feedback to support continuous improvement and product development.
• Follow ISO 14001 guidelines and participate in environmental actions.
• Travel frequently and work independently in demanding environments.
